Fishing Report

Top 2 questions…… What is the water doing? Are the big browns up by the dam yet?

First, this water situation is frustrating to say the least for wade fishers. The last few days it has been off some during the night and it didn’t come on today till 9 am. Table Rock Lake is still below power pool. On average during the day the water has only been running 4-5 feet high from a zero generator level, they normally run 8-9 feet high with 4 generators.

Yes to the browns! Check out the 3 photos below. The brown was caught Sunday afternoon. It weighted 19.2 lbs. 33″ long and 21″ girth. The rainbow was landed on the 7th during a boat trip and it weighted 8.3 lbs and was 26″ long. The browns are moving up and we have seen quite a few around 10 lbs the last 2 days.

Scuds have still been the top producer. If you have been to the water lately there are tons of them everywhere…. warmer water and no foot traffic has definitely increased their population.

Olive wooly buggers have been good too. Cracklebacks, Stimulators, midges, especially Adams bug.
